I spent the weekend with my parents in Atlanta. We really have so much fun together. Friday was Mother's last day of school. So Jenny and Daddy and I worked like slave maids to get the house cleaned for her. I'm talking moving of furniture and rugs to vacuum underneath. And dad was even on his knees soft scrub w/ bleaching the grout in the kitchen. Jenny managed to give enough toys away that the lid fits on the toy box now! AMAZING JOB J! We saw the Da Vinci Code. I'm not good at sitting still for that long. I asked Jenny about 4 times to tell me how much longer. But overall, I think it was a good movie. I even liked Tom Hanks in the lead role. I only watch super hero movies and romantic comedy's more than once.
Saturday, Jenny and John went to the lake house and Mother and Daddy and I painted. When there was no more painting to be done, Mother and I tried out some new recipes w/ Goat Cheese leftover from the wedding. I LOVE goat cheese souffle from Tin Angel (only served after 5pm) and goat cheese grits from Watermark. The souffles turned out fabulously. It was a LONG afternoon of cooking.
I flew back to Nashville Sunday. Went to 6 pm church with some girlfriends. After church, I talked in the parking lot to Kelly Posey for almost an hour. She is SO wise! Good advice. Then Elizabeth and I went to La Paz. Not a car on the street, but the parking lot was FULL at La Paz. Bazaar! Yesterday I watched Xmen II and Xmen III with Paul. GREAT movies! Go see that before Da Vinci Code. Interesting enough plot AND Hugh Jackman! Then Joshua took Sarah and I out to an amazing dinner at Firefly. Fabulous restaurant. The chocolate creme brulee was the best!
Attempting to finalize student loans today. Already denied once. Not going too well. Hopefully my smart finance friend can help.
