About to pull my hair out finding a job and getting a loan. I did however take a long lunch break to pull weeds. I don't know if I love or hate my parents for making that a "fun" activity for me, but it is. I find it very relaxing. I think it's like painting or cleaning. (Which I hate to admit that I also enjoyed at my parent's last week). After 5 or 10 minutes, you can see a HUGE difference. Six bug bites later, I'm back inside applying for jobs.
I'm applying for nurse tech positions. I did not want to work in a hospital around nurses because that is what kept me out of nursing for the last 6 years. Overworked nurses are not the best ones to ask about a nursing career. But my girlfriend Marciana works as a nurse tech in labor and delivery and loves it. So I am going to try to get a job at Centennial doing something similar. If I can find a loan, I will only have class from 7:30 to 9:30 for the month of June and 7:30 to 11:30 for the month of July. So I should be able to find a job for the afternoons and evenings.
Finding a loan is not nearly as easy as a job. I just don't understand. The only loans I seem to be eligible for (beyond the federal loans which maxed out at 10 grand and are shared between fall and spring) are the ones that give me $40,000 now and I pay back $65,000 in two years. What is THAT?!

if more people could just figure that out the "loan sharks" (my opinion on the name) would be out of business. I do not know one single person who got a loan from these guys and appreciated it later. It is a real scam.
