Happy Half Birthday to Me

In celebration of my half birthday, I've gone back to the goals I set for 28. Some are not too far off. Others are really going to require work.

The list to be completed by the 14th of June in 2007:

  • Maintain a 4.0 average - done
  • Wake up at 5am every morning, 7 days a week - this has been a tough one, but my alarm does ring at 5am alerting me that I have the opportunity to get out of bed should I choose to take it
  • Run a 4 hour marathon - currently looking at April, possibly the country music in Nashville
  • Complete an Olympic distance Triathlonlon - i have a strange suspicion that this will be completed near the beginning of June and with the help of my dear friend, Judith
  • Remember birthdays of family and friends - this will be on my list for several years to come
  • Maintain goal weight for the majority of the year - done
  • Own a pair of fabulous jeans - done, but now I want even more fabulous jeans
  • Do a daily bible study - working on it
  • Carry on conversation in French - working on it
  • Take my niece to the zoo - spring
  • Skydive - terrified, putting this one off until closer to June
  • Fall in Love - on my way
  • Be respectful, acknowledge all phone calls/emails/texts as soon as possible. - will be even better at this when my new phone actually shows that I've missed a call
  • Do sit ups and push ups every day - my niece rarely lets me sleep without exercising with her
  • Eat out only once a week - who knew this was really just an impossible and ridiculous goal to set?
  • Learn to play a song on the guitar - Brian Hall is working on this, executed hopefully in January sometime
  • Make others to know how appreciated and important they are - a constant lifelong battle
  • Go to the Kentucky Derby - John Martinez -- still counting on you
  • Belly dance - working on this
  • Have a dinner party and cook a meal start to finish - February
  • Go to the beach - no idea why this made the list, maybe in April
  • Run the Nashville half or full - hopefully the full in 4 hours
  • Knit a blanket - working on this
  • Smock and sew a dress - done
  • Finish a book - working on it now
  • Take a drum lesson - Lauren Godsey will be teaching me this as she has been the recipient of a brand new set of drums
