There were brownies and frozen pizzas and oreos and chips and dips and diet cokes (John and Colby's favorite) and mudslide ice cream. It was a REAL slumber party.
Peyton and Colby said they wanted to run around the sprinkler, so we set it up. Turns out only Peyton wanted to play and she enjoyed shooting the adults with the water. And like the fabulously fun mother she is, Jennifer chased her around the yard in an attempt to squirt her w/ the hose while we got a good laugh.

Colby loves puppies more than anything. And she and Peyton love to play like they are puppies. I'll never forget when I stayed at my parents house last Christmas and I came downstairs to find my sister in the floor w/ a dog collar on and my niece was dragging her around the living room by a leash. It always fascinates me how far parents will go to truly enjoy their children.
A rousing game of hide and seek where we forgot it was our turn to go seek for about fifteen minutes! That's a long time to hide. When I was little, I would have wet my pants by then...
Mother -- remember the donuts?! We made them. Jenny and Laurie and I used to sleep on the couch bed together and then we woke up and had these donuts that Mother made. They were AMAZING! She attended classes at the London School of cooking and we thought these donuts were the greatest thing she ever made!
Recipe:
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan about two or three inches deep
- Open on can of biscuits
- Make holes in the biscuits w/ your fingers and when the oil is just hot enough for the biscuits to float, drop them in.
- Flip the donuts after the bottom has turned a light brown
- Icing can be made w/ powdered sugar and a LITTLE bit of milk (doesn't take much as I learned my lesson with a half gallon of icing Friday morning) or you can use store bought icing

We had EVERY intention of going back home Friday, but the girls were playing so well together so we stayed ANOTHER night. It was wonderful to spend so much girl time! When John got home, he had his toenails painted so as to fit in with everyone at the party.
And the laziness continued... Jenny was up w/ the sun and that little Martha Stewart look-a-like made us pancakes. She's such a great mom!
